Hermetic storage containers provide pesticide-free protection against moisture and insects for both home and commercial use. These airtight systems feature tight-fitting lids or secure seals that block oxygen and moisture exchange between the outside air and the stored crop.

  • Rigid Containers: Metal drums, plastic barrels, and jerry cans must be filled completely to the brim to minimize empty air space inside.
  • Flexible Containers: Multi-layer plastic bags (like PICS™ or ZeroFly® Hermetic bags) must be tied tightly to squeeze out excess air.

As insects and mold breathe, they quickly consume the remaining oxygen, creating an oxygen-free environment where pests suffocate and die. Containers should be kept indoors, shielded from sharp objects, and cleaned thoroughly before and after use.
